The 5th Vande Bharat Express of India, and 3rd Vande Bharat Express Train 2.0 is all set to start its maiden journey tomorrow, 11 November.
Here’s everything you need to know about the 5th Vande Bharat Express
With this new train, the Indian Railways will connect Mysuru to Chennai via Bengaluru, a journey of 497 km in just 6 hours and 40 minutes. The Indian Railways has already conducted a trial run successfully on the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru route. It will be the first semi-high-speed train for south India.
Route
The proposed route for this newly introduced Vande Bharat Express is:
Between Chennai Central, Bengaluru City, and Mysuru Junction, the train will cross Perambur, Veppampattu, Katpadi Junction, Gudupalli, and Malur.
Halts
The train will have only one stop during its journey: Bengaluru Junction.

What’s New in Vande Bharat 2.0
Safety, services, and speed are milestones that this train has achieved. The Integral Coach Factory (ICF), the railway production unit in Chennai is the force behind the system integration of these rails in just 18 months.
The Vande Bharat Express 2.0, just like Shatabdi Express is equipped to achieve a maximum speed of up to 160km/h and has the same travel classes as well, but with a better travel experience for passengers.
This train is also equipped with a safety feature named KAVACH (Train Collision Avoidance System) for enhanced safety in operations. Each Vande Bharat has a total seating capacity of 1128 passengers.
