Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Indigenously manufactured long-distance high-speed Train, India's sixth Vande Bharat Express train on 11 December 2022.
The Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high-speed train with a maximum speed of 160 kmph. It is equipped with world-class amenities and aims to provide passengers with a totally new journey experience. In addition to high speeds, it will reduce the journey time by 25 to 45 percent because of its faster acceleration and deceleration.

Everything about the new Bilaspur- Nagpur Vande Bharat Express
- The Southeast Central Railways (SECR) will operate the Bilaspur- Nagpur Vande Bharat Express.
- There will be scheduled stops at Raipur, Durg, and Gondia.
- It will operate six days a week.
- The Bilaspur-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express will complete the journey in about 5 hours and 20 minutes.

The launch of this 6th Vande Bharat Express train reduced the aim of manufacturing 75 trains by August 2023 to 69. There are 5 other Vande Bharat Express trains running in India on routes like New Delhi to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, New Delhi to Varanasi, New Delhi to Amb-Andaura, Chennai to Mysuru, and Mumbai to Ahmedabad.
