We have some fabulous news for all the EDM fans out there! India’s most beloved music carnival Sunburn Goa 2020 is taking place in Vagator Beach, Goa from 27 to 29 December. The country’s most awaited music festival has slashed down its venue capacity to about 20 per cent as per COVID-19 precautions. Every year the mega fest draws millennials from all across India and the world.
As a way to adapt to the new normal the festival has come up with a set of safety guidelines which need to be followed in a strict manner by the visitors.

The use of the Aarogya Setu app is mandatory.

Entry procedures include a temperature check, sanitisation and security frisking.

Visitors need to maintain social distancing at all time. In the general category each row will have multiple sections of 50 persons each with markings for people to maintain physical distance. Those in VIP sections will have their own private designated space. Once you enter a section you can remain there through the day.

It is compulsory for all the visitors to wear a face mask during the festival.

Entry permitted into the event as per time slots selected, no crowding at gates, toilets, F&B (food and beverage) area or any other common areas.

Other protocols including a negative COVID test may be required depending upon government regulations at the time.

Sunburn is usually the most-awaited music and dance event among the youth of the country. The Sunburn music festival featuring eclectic music, eye-catching visuals, SFX, fantastic LED effects and state-of-the-art AV broadcast is attended by millions of fans from around the world. This year the sunburn will not be the same due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The virus is spreading at an alarming rate in the country. At present India has nearly 8.26 million COVID-19 cases and 123097 deaths. The tickets will be made available for sale from November 04 onwards.
This time only festival tickets are available and you cannot buy tickets day-wise. Entry into the festival will be allowed as per the time slots selected. The general space will have markings for 50 people and social distancing is mandatory. While for VIPs the dates are November 4, 6 and 8 for VVIPs i.e. for Diamond and Platinum tables it will open sale on November 8, 10, 12 and 15. Those in the VIP area have their own designated space. The iconic wristbands will not be allowed this year. Those interested must book their tickets at least a week before the festival. While shacks on beaches have yet to reopen, bars and restaurants are operational across the state following COVID protocols. As of today Goa reportedly has around 2,215 active cases of Coronavirus.
