2 new Vande Bharat Express trains started their maiden journey on Friday 10 February 2023 from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai.
Prime Minister Modi flagged off 2 New Semi-High-Speed trains between Mumbai to Solapur and Mumbai to Shirdi at the inauguration ceremony on Friday 10 February 2023. With these 2 new routes, the number of Vande Bharat Express has increased to 10 in India.
There has been a lot of interest in the Vande Bharat trains among commuters. It is the fastest train in India with a top speed of 180 kmph, but the operating speed is 130 kmph for safety reasons.
Mumbai-Pune-Solapur Vande Bharat Express
- The train number (22225) Mumbai-Pune-Solapur Vande Bharat Express starts its journey from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai at 16:05 and reaches Solapur Jn at 22:40, covering a distance of 400 km at 06:35 hours.
- On the return journey, train number (22226) Solapur-Pune-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express starts its journey from Solapur Jn at 06:05 and reaches Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai, at 12:35 covering a distance of 400 km at 06:30 hours.
