The Ministry of Railways is granting full refund for the trains cancelled between March 22 to June 30. Full refund will be given to all the passengers who have booked their train tickets until June 30. Passengers having e-ticket are not required to do anything. Their tickets would be auto-cancelled and full refund would be auto-credited into their respective accounts. For all the passengers who have booked tickets through the PRS counter can claim full refund until 6 months from the date of the journey (instead of 3 days).
Guidelines for PRS counters
All COVID-19 precautions will be strictly enforced at the PRS counters. It is mandatory for all the passengers to cover their face with a face cover or mask. Passengers at the reservation counters need to follow the social distancing norms to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus. If anyone doesn’t wear a mask, they won’t be allowed at the PRS counter. Do not forget to carry an alcohol-based hand rub or hand sanitiser to keep your hands clean. Passengers who have booked their tickets through the PRS counter can collect their refund as per the schedule given below. The refunds are being made available in a regulated manner to minimize the queues at the counters and to ensure social distancing. Refund of the PRS counter generated tickets for the trains cancelled are granted as per the schedule given below.
