Overview

On June 6, 2022, Indian Railways issued a press release stating that the online ticket booking limit has increased. This will be beneficial for frequent travelers or people who wish to travel with large groups.

If you ever used the IRCTC app or the website for booking train tickets, you already know that you could book only up to 6 tickets in a month, if your Aadhaar was not linked. Whereas, after linking Aadhaar you could book up to 12 tickets in a month.

With the said changes, a user whose Aadhaar is not linked can now book up to 12 tickets in a month. On the other hand, if your Aadhaar is linked, you are allowed to book a maximum of 24 tickets. You can book the same number of tickets by using the Trainman app or website as well. This rule will be effective within a month or so.

Trainman app is available on Google Play Store and iOS App Store. Moreover, it has features like checking the PNR Status of the booked ticket, Seat Availability, Running Status, and many more.
