Passengers with a valid ticket who are late by two hours or more are only entitled to a free meal on Shatabdi, Rajdhani, and Duronto trains if the train is running late by more than two hours. A variety of food is offered to passengers by the IRCTC as part of their lunch and dinner, including rice, pulses, pickles, as well as tea, and coffee.
Waiting Room Facility
The Indian Railways can arrange for free waiting rooms at various railway stations in the country if the train is running late, in addition to food. It is required that all passengers wishing to use a waiting room present their reservation ticket, and different types of waiting rooms are available for different types of passengers.

Full Refund if Train is Late
Train cancellation and full refunds are available if the train is running late for 3 hours or more. You can cancel the ticket in such conditions and file a TDR to avail full refund of the ticket fare. Customers who bought tickets online are also entitled to this facility, which was previously available only for offline ticket customers at railway stations.
Refund on Missing the Train
