Indian Railways has announced that it will run over 1,000 special trains from different parts of the country to Ayodhya around the first 100 days of the inauguration of the Ram Mandir.
The operation of these trains would start from January 19, days ahead of the inauguration ceremony so that pilgrims can travel to the holy city and go back.
According to a report by the Times of India, these trains will connect Ayodhya with all regions and different cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Nagpur, Lucknow and Jammu.
The temple will be open to the public from January 23. The initiative is in preparation for the inauguration of the newly constructed Ram Mandir, and the trains aim to facilitate the influx of pilgrims during the initial 100 days.
The news of launching of 5 new Vande Bharat express trains on December 30, 2023 came a few days back. Other than that, 2 new Amrit Bharat express trains will also be launched, along with inauguration of infrastrucutre like the newly built Ayodhya Railway station, and Ayodhya Airport.
In an other news, as per a press release of Indian Railways Conference Association, the station name of Ayodhya Jn. will be changed to Ayodhya Dham Jn., however, the station code will remain the same as previous which is AY.
