The choice to introduce new trains from Rajasthan comes after the railways introduced the resumption of standard operation after over one-and-a-half years.
The common operation remained suspended for the reason of the announcement of the primary COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020. Because the lockdown opened up, railways resumed operation, however, with several restrictions. Throughout this era, many common trains remained suspended and particular trains had been operating. The choice marked the return of 1700 common trains. Click here if you want to know about the latest updates for Indian Railways.
What is Humsafar Express?
The Indian Railways introduced the Humsafar Express in 2016. On December 16, 2016, the first train ran between Gorakhpur and Anand Vihar Terminal in New Delhi, and since then, many trains have been added to the 'Humsafar Express' lineup, connecting cities across India.
The Humsafar Express is a premium, high-speed train with modern amenities like mini pantries, laptop charging, reading lights, vending machines etc. Previously, all AC 3-tier coaches were used in Humsafar express trains.
