As per NFR (Northeast Frontier Railway), the train for the longest route in the country, connecting Assam with Tamil Nadu will be available twice a week from tomorrow, 22 November 2022.

The prominent stops for this train are New Tinsukia, Mariani, Dimapur, Lumding, Guwahati, New Bongaigaon, New Alipurduar, New Cooch Behar, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Durgapur, Asansol, Adra, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Renigunta, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore Main, Ernakulam Town, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram Central, and Nagercoil.
- Okha - Tuticorin Vivek Express (19567/19568)
It covers a 3043 km route in 54:25 hours. The train covers important cities en route, namely Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Mumbai Vasai Road, Kalyan, Pune, Gulbarga, Adoni, Bangalore (Krishnarajapuram), Salem, Karur, and Madurai.
- Bandra Terminus Jammu Tawi Vivek Express (19027/19028)
It goes via Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Abu Road, Jodhpur, Degana, Sujangarh, Churu, Sadulpur, Hisar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Chakki Bank, thus bypassing Delhi NCR.
- Santragachi - Mangalore Central Vivek Express (22851/22852)
This train links Santragachhi, a town in the vicinity of Howrah, Kolkata in West Bengal to Mangalore Central in Karnataka.
The Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express is a 4189 km route, and it takes around 80 hours to traverse nine states. Among the states traversed by this train are, Assam, Nagaland, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
Previously, Train no. 15906 (Dibrugarh – Kanyakumari) Vivek Express used to run on Saturdays, and for the downward journey, Train no. 15905 (Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh) Vivek Express was used to run only on Thursdays.
From 22 November 2022, the Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express started running bi-weekly.
- Train no. 15906 (Dibrugarh – Kanyakumari) Vivek Express – Tuesday and Saturday
- Train no. 15905 (Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh) Vivek Express – Thursday and Sunday
During the time of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent nationwide lockdown that followed in March 2020, it was the last train that halted its service.
One of the fascinating facts about the Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express is that there are 3 different engines that haul this train. This train uses the WDP-4D Locomotive of Diesel Loco Shed from Tinsukia to Guwahati. Then, from Guwahati upto Visakhapatnam, it uses the WAP-7 Locomotive of Electric Loco Shed. And, at last, it is hauled by a WAP-4 locomotive of Electric Loco Shed, from Visakhapatnam to Kanniyakumari.
