We are still going through the 2nd wave of the Coronavirus. The deadly global pandemic has changed the lives of almost every individual in some capacity or another. The raw numbers are peaking in India in the ongoing second wave but the fear and psychosis still remains intact. To ease the burden of the railway passengers in these trying times of Covid-19, Westeren Railways division has decided to restore the services of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Special along with 6 other trains for the benefit of the travelling public.
Railways is resuming suspended train services and increasing the frequency of several trains for the convenience of railway passengers. The trains had been cancelled by the railways due to poor occupancy rate of passengers amid an alarming rise in Covid-19 cases all over the country.
Train Timings and Stoppages
The train 09415 Ahmedabad Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Weekly Special will depart from base station Ahmedabad Jn (ADI) at 08:20 pm and reach its destination station Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) at 06:35 am on the 3rd day. Enroute this train will halt at Sabarmati BG, Palanpur Jn, Marwar Jn, Beawar, Ajmer Jn, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, Hisar, Bhatinda Jn, Jalandhar City, Amritsar Jn, Pathankot and Udhampur.
On the return journey the train 09416 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Ahmedabad Weekly Special will depart from base station Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) at 10:40 am and reach its destination station Ahmedabad Jn (ADI) at 10:00 pm the next day. This train will have stoppages at Udhampur, Pathankot, Amritsar Jn, Jalandhar City, Bhatinda Jn, Hisar, Rewari, Alwar, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Jaipur, Kishangarh, Beawar and Sabarmati BG.
Along with the Vaishno Devi Special Train, the railway is also restoring the services of 6 other trains in the Western region of the country.
The Indian Railway is restoring its passenger train services to almost pre Covid-19 levels, provided India gets control of the virus which is ravaging the country in a deadly second wave. These trains are also likely to be special trains only and not regular passenger services.
