Between February 1 and 10, the Indian Railways announced the cancellation of many trains, including the Bilaspur-Bhopal and Jammu Tawi-Durg Express, due to continuing construction work. The decision was made due to the construction of the third line connecting the stations on the South-East Central Railway's Bilaspur division's Jaithari-Chulha railway segment. According to the latest information, the non-interlocking work, which began on January 23, is nearing completion. The building work will take a few more days, therefore trains traveling through Madhya Pradesh stations have been canceled, according to the Railways.

In the meanwhile, customers are recommended to check their train's Live Running Status after booking an train ticket online. Railways website has information on the trains that have been canceled.
The following trains will be canceled till the work on adding a new rail line in the Jaithari-Chulha railway section of the South East Central Railway, Bilaspur division, is completed, according to the Railways.

- Train number 22170 Santragachi-Rani Kamlapati (Habibganj) Express
- Train number 22909 Valsad-Puri Express cancelled on February 3.
- Train number 20971 Udaipur-Shalimar Express cancelled on 5 February.

- Train number 20471 Bikaner-Puri Express cancelled on February 6.

- Train number 12549 Durg – Jammu Tawi Express have been cancelled from February 1 to 8.
- Train number 18235 Bhopal-Bilaspur Express has been cancelled from January 31 to February 7.
