The cancellation was necessary, according to the South Western Railway, in order to complete doubling and electrification operations on the Hindupur-Penukonda (37 km) segment. "We feel compelled to take these actions. Anup Dayanand Sadhu, Chief Commercial Manager (Passenger-Services), stated that SMS messages have been sent to all passengers who have booked tickets on the trains informing them of the status of cancellation/partial cancellation and diversion.

Due to which the following Central Railway Trains are cancelled:
- 11301 CSMT - Bengaluru Udyan exp JCO 22.3.2022 to 24.3.2022
- 11302 Bengaluru - CSMT Udyan Exp JCO 23.3.2022 to 25.3.2022
- 11311 Solapur - Hasan Exp JCO 22.3.2022 to 29.3.2022
- 11312 Hasan - Solapur Exp JCO 23.3.2022 to 30.3.2022.

North Western Railway has declared regulation and cancellation of 9 trains due to non-interlocking work.
