Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off five vande bharat express today. It is the highest number of Vande Bharat trains launching in a single day. PM reached Rani Kamlapati Railway Station at around 10:30 am today. 2 of these vande bharat will be operational in Madhya Pradesh, 1 in Bihar, 1 in Karnataka and 1 in Maharashtra.

Today, on 27 June 2023, the Prime Minister flagged off 5 Vande Bharat Express trains for various routes of 4 states. These trains aim to improve connectivity and boost tourism. It is the first launch of a new vande bharat after the unfortunate accident in Balasore.

• Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express (20911-20912)

The Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express train will start its commercial operations tomorrow, 28 June 2023. The new transportation infrastructure will greatly enhance the ease and speed of travel between two significant cities in Madhya Pradesh, thereby improving the overall connectivity of the region's cultural, tourist, and religious destinations.

• Bhopal-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express (20173-20174)

The commercial journey of train number 20173-74, the Bhopal-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express will start tomorrow, 28 June 2023. This new route will revolutionise the connectivity between these areas by connecting the Mahakaushal (Jabalpur) region to the central region (Bhopal) of Madhya Pradesh. The tourism sectors in both regions will experience a tremendous boost, from the improved accessibility and ease of travel facilitated by this connection.

• Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express (22349-22350)

The Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express (22349-22350) will be starting its commercial run tomorrow, 28 June 2023. By introducing the first-ever Vande Bharat train in Bihar and Jharkhand, a significant leap forward is made in terms of inter-state connectivity. The primary objective behind this initiative is to foster better transportation links between the two states, resulting in notable benefits for tourists, students, and others who rely on efficient travel between Bihar and Jharkhand.

• Bengaluru- Dharwad Vande Bharat Express (20661-20662)

The Bengaluru- Dharwad Vande Bharat Express will be commencing its commercial run tomorrow, 28 June 2023. This train service will bridge the gap between the important cities of Dharwad and Hubballi with the state capital Bengaluru in Karnataka, enhancing the connectivity within the region. The advantages of this improved transportation link will be felt by various groups, such as tourists, students, industrialists, and others, who will experience greater ease and efficiency in their travel arrangements.

• Mumbai-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express (22229-22230)

The introduction of the highly anticipated Goa (Madgaon)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express marks a momentous occasion for Goa as it becomes the proud host of its first-ever Vande Bharat Express. Operating between Mumbai's prestigious Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Goa's bustling Madgaon station, this train will play a pivotal role in bolstering tourism in both Goa and Maharashtra. Its seamless connectivity will undoubtedly unlock new opportunities for travellers, ultimately contributing to the economic growth and development of the region.

As per the railways, the Mumbai Madgaon Vande Bharat Express will be operational only three days a week during the monsoon season due to the weather conditions in the Konkan region. Also, this journey will take upto 10 hours during the monsoon season. However, post-monsoon season, the frequency of this train will increase to 6 days a week.

With today’s launch, 23 Vande Bharat Express trains will be operational in various parts of India.
