We often use trains as a primary medium of transportation. But sometimes, we get late in reaching the platform and do not have enough time to buy a ticket. Then we get into the dilemma to get the ticket or just board the train. We are here to answer just that. 

Confirmed Ticket Not Available

If a passenger is unable to get a ticket due to unavailability, but he/she has boarded the train, then the railways will impose a heavy penalty on the passenger. In such cases, they can pay the penalty using cards. The Indian Railways has improved the infrastructure by providing devices with 4G connectivity.

The New Railway Rules

With a new step taken by the railways to ease up the hurdles of passengers. Now, the debit card can be used to pay the fine or ticket fare. Thus, if you do not have a train ticket, you can get one even after boarding the ticket.

Platform Tickets Rules

As per the newly introduced rules by Indian Railway, if a passenger does not have a reservation, and you have to take a train somewhere, they can board the train even with a platform ticket. Such tickets can easily be made with the help of a Ticket Checker. These rules were introduced by the railways themselves.

In order to do this, you must contact TTE immediately by taking the platform ticket. Then, it will create a ticket for you to your destination.

Additional Information

In remote areas, there used to be network connectivity due to 2G sim cards installed in POS (Point of Sales) machines, but now, passengers do not have to worry about that. Because now, these machines are equipped with 4G sim cards.

So, if you ever reach the railway station in a hurry, you do not have to worry about anything, just board the train if you have debit cards or even platform tickets in your pocket.
