Following the cancellation of 385 trains on Tuesday, the Indian Railways decided to cancel 392 more trains on Wednesday, alter the origination station of 18 and shorten the duration of 19 due to operational concerns and foggy weather. Trains between Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Punjab, Assam, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu, among others, have been cancelled.

The railways announced earlier this month that numerous trains going through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand will be cancelled from January 15 to January 22. Because of the interlocking work being done on the Lucknow-Alamnagar segment, this decision was made. The railways also cancelled at least 17 express trains going through Chhattisgarh and Bihar.
The decision was made due to continuing work on the fourth line in the Raipur-Bilaspur division of the South East Central Railway's Kharsia-Robertson segment. Various trains on the Railpur-Bilaspur division have been impacted by the work.
