Railways is resuming suspended train services and increasing the frequency of several trains for the convenience of railway passengers. The regular trains had been halted by the railways due to poor occupancy rate of passengers amid an alarming rise in Covid-19 cases in India.
Train Timings and Stoppages
The train 05903 Dibrugarh Chandigarh Special will depart from its base station Dibrugarh (DBRG) at 08:05 am and reach the destination station Chandigarh (CDG) at 1:20 pm on the 3rd day. This train will have stops at New Tinsukia Jn, Mariani Jn, Dimapur, Guwahati, Kokrajhar, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar Jn, Khagaria Jn, Samastipur Jn, Hajipur Jn, Siwan Jn, Lucknow, Bareilly, Saharanpur and Ambala Cant Jn. This train will run from 5th July, 2021 on Mondays.
On the return journey the train 05904 Chandigarh Dibrugarh Special will depart from its base station Chandigarh (CDG) at 11:20 pm and reach the destination station Dibrugarh (DBRG) at 07:55 am on the 4th day. Enroute this train will halt at Ambala Cant Jn, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Siwan Jn, Hajipur Jn, Samastipur Jn, Khagaria Jn, Katihar Jn, New Jalpaiguri, Kokrajhar, Guwahati, Dimapur, Mariani Jn, Simaluguri Jn and New Tinsukia Jn. This train will run from 7th July, 2021 on Wednesdays.
The Indian Railway is hoping to restore its passenger train services to almost pre Covid-19 levels, provided India gets control of the virus which is ravaging the country in a deadly second wave. These trains are also likely to be special trains only and not regular passenger services.
