Central Railways has started two fully reserved special trains connecting Mumbai with Gorakhpur. The reason to run these special trains is to facilitate convenient travel for educators and enhance connectivity between the two cities.
The Teachers' special train will run between Dadar and Gorakhpur.
Details of Teachers' Special Train
- Train No. 01101 - Teachers’ special
- The train will leave Dadar at 2.05pm on May 2 and arrive Gorakhpur on the third day.
- Train No. 01102 - Teachers’ special
- The train will leave Gorakhpur at 2.25pm on June 10 and arrive Dadar on the third day.
Halts of Teachers' Special Train
Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Harda, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati Bina, Lalitpur, Tikamgarh, Khargapur, Maharaja Chhatrasal Station Chhatarpur, Khajuraho, Mahoba, Banda, Chitrakutdham Karwi, Manikpur, Prayagraj Jn., Gyanpur Road, Varanasi, Aunrihar, Mau, Bhatni, Deoria Sadar.
The train will have accomodation for various travelling classes like AC-2 Tier, three AC-3 Tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 5 General Second Class including 2 Guard’s Break Vans.
Booking the Teachers' Special Train
The bookings for these fully reserved Teachers’ special trains opened on March 31 at 2.30pm, exclusively at nominated counters at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai reservation centre only.
This summer special is a good initiative and is expected to enhance connectivity during summer rush for teachers.
