6 Southern Trains Restored

The deadly global pandemic has changed the lives of almost every individual in some capacity or another. Although the raw numbers seem to have peaked in the ongoing 2nd wave, the fear and psychosis still remains intact. To ease the burden of the railway passengers in these trying times of Covid-19, the South Western Railways division has decided to restore the services of 6 Special Trains in the Southern region.

Many trains had been cancelled by the Indian railways due to poor occupancy rate of passengers amid an alarming rise in Covid-19 cases in the Gujarat and Rajasthan region..

Train Timings and Stoppages

The train 06081 MGR Chennai Central Mysuru Shatabdi Special will depart from its base station Chennai Central (MAS) at 06:00 am and reach the destination station Mysore Jn (MYS) at 01;00 pm on the same day. This train will have stops at Katpadi Jn and Bengaluru City Jn.

On the return journey the train 06082 Mysuru MGR Chennai Central Shatabdi Special will depart from its base station Mysore Jn (MYS) at 02:15 pm and reach the destination station Chennai Central (MAS) at 09:25 pm on the same day. Enroute this train will halt at Bengaluru City Jn and Katpadi Jn.

Indian Railway is restoring its passenger train services to almost pre Covid-19 levels, provided India gets control of the virus which is ravaging the country in a deadly second wave. These trains are also likely to be special trains only and not regular passenger services.
