Many trains had been cancelled by the Indian railways due to poor occupancy rate of passengers amid an alarming rise in Covid-19 cases in the Western and Southern regions of India.
Train Timings and Stoppages
The train 09220 Ahmedabad MGR Chennai Central Humsafar Special will depart from its base station Ahmedabad Jn(ADI) at 09:40 am and reach the destination station Chennai Central (MAS) at 04:00 pm the next day. This train will have stops at Vadodara Jn, Surat, Kalyan Jn, Pune Jn, Kalaburagi Junction, Krishna, Raichur, Guntakal Jn and Renigunta Jn. This train will start its operations from 12th July, 2021.
On the return journey the train 09219 MGR Chennai Central Ahmedabad Humsafar Special will depart from its base station Chennai Central (MAS) at 03:50 pm and reach the destination station Ahmedabad Jn(ADI) at 08:55 pm the next day. Enroute this train will halt at Renigunta Jn, Guntakal Jn, Raichur, Krishna, Kalaburagi Junction, Pune Jn, Kalyan Jn, Surat and Vadodara Jn. This train will start its operations from 14th July, 2021.
Indian Railway is restoring its passenger train services to almost pre Covid-19 levels, provided India gets control of the virus which is ravaging the country in a deadly second wave. These trains are also likely to be special trains only and not regular passenger services.
