The Vande Bharat (VB) Express trains are attracting a lot of travellers with their semi-high-speed and comfortable features. The Indian Railways are keen to expand their network of these trains across the country at a steady pace.
The Railway Ministry has decided to launch 10 new VB Express trains across the country. In line with this vision, several zones of the railways are working hard to introduce the Vande Bharat service on new routes. One of these zones is the South-Central Railway (SCR), which will soon operate the Vande Bharat service between Secunderabad and Pune. On the other hand, another Vande Bharat service will start on the Patna – New Jalpaiguri route fulfilling a long pending demand.
The new VB Express trains will connect various cities across India, apart from the existing routes of Secunderabad-Pune and Patna-Jalpaiguri. Some of the planned sections for these trains are Varanasi-Lucknow, Madgaon-Mangalore, Delhi-Amritsar, Indore-Surat, Mumbai-Kolhapur, Mumbai-Jalna, Pune-Vadodara and Tatanagar-Varanasi. These trains will offer faster and more comfortable travel options for the passengers. This will provide a faster and more comfortable travel option for the passengers who travel between these two cities.
The Vande Bharat trains have a remarkable occupancy ratio because they boast some exclusive features that distinguish them from any other trains. For example, these trains have automatic doors, bio-vacuum toilets, GPS-based passenger information system and on-board Wi-Fi.
The Railway Ministry has taken into account the enormous demand for these trains and has decided to provide more similar services for the passengers. As of now, 34 trains of this kind have been launched, which are operating across various cities and States in the nation.
The railway minister has stated that these trains are a symbol of "self-reliant India" and a "testimony to the vision and hard work of our engineers". He also mentioned that the government aims to make these trains more affordable and accessible for the common people.
